Memphis Mustangs vs. Team Tough
The first game of the night saw the high-powered offense of the Memphis Mustangs taking on the always improving Team Tough. Team Tough was led by newcomer No. 19 Isaac Bragg (14 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, & 2 assists). But the Mustangs were just too much. Seven of their 8 players scored. Only injured Evan Boyd did not score. The Mustangs had four players in double figures including Jarvis (16 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, & 3 steals) and Steve Holmes (16 points, 6 steals, 2 rebounds, & 1 block). The Mustangs won convincingly.

Memphis Magic vs. Memphis Suns
The Memphis Suns just may be the hottest team in the city right now, and today their win streak continued as they took on the outmatched Memphis Magic in 6th Grade action. The Magic were led by No. 15 C. Wells (3 points) and No. 13 Kyron Pleas (3 points & 1 steal).
The Suns were had three players in double figures including No. 24 Alvin "Clutch" Miles (12 points, 3 assists, & 1 rebound) and No. 5 Johnathan Dejurnett (13 points & 6 rebounds). The Suns won this won with ease.

Memphis Fire vs. Memphis Magic
The Memphis Fire's defense caused problems early for the Magic and in the beginning it seemed as if the Fire were going to run away with this one. But the Magic's sharp shooting No. 23 Davin Moskovits (13 points) kept his team in the game. Down the stretch the Magic made a dash for the W, behind a big game from No. 32 Luke Moton (14 points, 7 rebounds, & 1 block).
But in the end the Fire were able to hold on and eventually pull away.

Memphis Bandits vs. Memphis Wolfpack
The final game of the night was a highly anticipated 9th Grade Div. season opener with Coach Buck's Memphis Wolfpack taking on Tyrese Brown and the Bandits. But this won didn't live up to the hype. The Bandits couldn't get much offense going as No. 1 Terrance Oliver (7 points, 3 steals) led them in scoring. The Wolfpack owned the boards and second and third chance points came easy tonight. No. 24 Juanya (8 points & 3 steals) had a nice game as did Player of the Game No. 14 Will Mangum (15 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, & 1 block). The Wolfpack won this one big.

Memphis Bearcats vs. Memphis Knicks
In the first game of the night Coach Paris London's Memphis Bearcats took on the Memphis Knicks. Former Bellevue wingman Kobe Brassell (16 points) lead the Bearcats in scoring. But Brassel wasn't enough to fend off the Knicks who were lead by No. 4 Cassius "CeeCee" Bryant (18 points, 1 rebound, 2 steals, & 1 block) & No. 21 Mario Fenner (13 points, 4 rebounds, & 1 block). The Knicks defeated Bearcats.

Memphis Kings vs. Memphis Suns
The second game of the night was more MS JV action with the Memphis Suns taking on the Memphis Kings. The Suns jumped out to an early double-digit lead and seemed poised to run off with its second blowout win in as many days. But Coach Sam coached his boys back into the game and it wasn't decided until the final minute. The Kings were lead by No. 2 (9 points, 15 rebounds, 2 steals, & 1 block) who had an outstanding game. But the Suns had outstanding games from two players; No. 25 Isaiah Cathey (5 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks, 6 steals, 7 1 assist) and No. 3 Deebo Coleman (12 points, 5 rebounds, & 1 steal) and were able close with its second win of the season.

Crossover BlackCats vs. Memphis WarEagles
5th Grade
In the final game of the night. The Memphis WarEagles were down more than 20 points at point in the game but Coach Hayden's squad battled all the way back against a much older team. The WarEagles were led by No. 21 Cam (9 points) and Player of the Game No. 24 Landon Jeffries (15 points, 9 rebounds, 5 steals).

Memphis Suns vs. Memphis Yellow Jackets
In the first game of Middle School JV play the Memphis Suns, better known as Team Penny took on the Memphis Yellow Jackets. As we all know, the Suns are loaded with several 6th graders who got varsity middle school experience last year. The Suns starting guard No. 3 Deebo Coleman (8 points, 2 assists, & 2 rebounds) led the Suns in scoring, while their big, No. 35 Travis Hopper (7 points, 7 rebounds, & 1 steal) played his way to Player of the Game honors.
The Yellow Jackets were led by No. 2 Tavin Davis (8 points, 2 rebounds, 2 blocks).
The Suns cruised to an easy with with a press that seemed to cause the Yellow Jackets a lot of problems and a structured offense that opened up a lot of easy shots.

10th Grade.
Memphis Eagles vs. Memphis Magic
Tenth grade play started today as well with the Eagles taking on the Magic in easily the most exciting game of the night. A game that took not one extra period, but two. That's right, double OT. The Magic led early and looked as if they would cruise to an easy W. The Magic's No. 23 R. Collins (12 points, 7 rebounds, & 1 steal) lead them early before fouling out, he had help from No. 3 Martavius Porter (17 points, 5 rebounds, & 1 steal).
But the Eagles had huge games from two players too. No. 13 Malik Russell (21 points, 1 rebound, & 2 steals) and Player of the Game No. 15 Brevin Monroe (21 points, 11 rebounds, & 1 assist). The Eagles were able to finally pull away in the second overtime and walk of the court with a season opening win.

Arkansas Cobras vs. Bluff City Nets
In more tenth grade action the Cobras traveled across the bridge to take on the Bluff City Nets. The Cobras were led by No. 5 O. Colbert (16 points, 2 steals, 2 rebounds, & 1 assist) and No. 3 Elisha Hobbs (14 points, 3 rebounds, & 2 assists).
But the Nets' No. 5 Khulil Hodges (17 points, 2 rebounds, & 1 steal) along with No. 21 Kameron Williams (11 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, & 1 block) were able to carry their team to a victory in the first game of the season.
